I Miss You

To mom and dad,

I haven't written as much as I'd like to, I've been focusing on present day, present time.

For as long as I could remember — you both wanted to forget your past at all costs, and look to the future..

I feel I'm the opposite. Day by day, the future looks bleak. Most of what I cherish are considered relics from the past, including most media I care to discover..

This year has been.. interesting. Against all odds, I fell in love with someone. She keeps me motivated enough to get my life together — let alone out of bed everyday. I feel so fortunate.

I struggled to get anything done last year, as of the moment of recording these thoughts.. I have 1281 days left to complete my project with virtually no progress.

Instead I...

• Bought a used classic vehicle.
• Stopped streaming music and switched to offline MP3 player.
• Switched to a smart phone from a flip phone.
• Started an exercise routine.

Among other achievements...

I'm keeping myself accountable as much as possible because I know that's you both want.
